Pre-Career Fair Week
About
The Pre-Career Fair Week will be hosted by the Student Engineers’ Council from January 17th to January 23rd. The goal of this week will be to prepare students for the Career Fair and to encourage all students to attend the fair in person. SEC will be hosting a resume workshop, a student panel, and a Career Fair Prep and What to Expect workshop with help from the Career Center. Free food will be provided at all events and SEC members will be tabling by Zachry Engineering Building throughout the week with free donuts and cookies to answer any questions students may have and increase awareness about the Career Fair and its related events.
Note: Registration is not required for all events and dress code is casual.

Resume Workshop

The SEC will host an online resume workshop and experts from the Career Center have been invited to speak about the do’s and don'ts of writing an effective resume.
Career Fair Student Panel

- Time: 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm
- Location: Zach 297-299 (Chevron Rooms in Zachry Engineering Building)
The SEC will be hosting a panel of students with previous internship experience. Students of the College of Engineering will have the opportunity to hear advice and insight from their peers who have been successful at the Career Fair. Students will have the opportunity to ask questions about how best to approach the Career Fair, what to expect in the interview process and what to look forward to in the internship itself. Free Domino’s pizza will be provided.
Career Fair Prep and What to Expect Workshop

The SEC will be hosting a virtual workshop to discuss event logistics, Career Fair updates, and company booth layout so students can know what to expect on the days of the fair. The TAMU Career Center has been invited to give students advice about strategy about how to approach recruiters and how to secure the opportunities they seek.
